HAVE AN ADVOCATE PRESENT:
When the appraiser visits your property, the experience can feel stressful and overwhelming. You may have many questions, and it can be difficult to remember them all or fully absorb the information being shared. It’s wise to have a trusted friend or support person present to help ask questions, take notes, and ensure nothing important is missed—allowing you to stay focused and engaged during the appraisal.

After the appraisal is completed, your Right-of-Way agent will contact you to schedule a meeting to review the report and present an offer.
At this meeting, the agent will provide a copy of the appraisal along with key documents, including the initial offer, a summary statement of just compensation, an appraisal summary, a loan payoff request (if applicable), a W-9, a copy of the Property Rights Policy, and a purchase agreement.
IMPORTANT
When you schedule your appointment, request that your ROW agent bring the following:
A complete copy of the appraisal report
A complete copy of BOTH moving estimates
